Die "European Alliance Against Depression " (EAAD) ist ein gemeinnütziger Verein, welcher im Jahre 2008 von acht vorherigen EAAD Projektpartnern gegründet wurde. Der Hauptsitz befindet sich in Leipzig (Deutschland). Die acht Gründer des Vereines, gehören den folgenden Institutionen an:

                                           

Austria: Prof. Dr. Ulrich Meise, Gesellschaft für Psychische Gesundheit – Pro mente  Tirol

Belgium: Prof. Dr. Chantal van Audenhove, LUCAS, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven

Germany: Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hegerl, German Alliance Against Depression

Irleand: Dr. Ella Arensman, National Suicide Research Foundation

Netherlands: Prof. Dr. Christina van der Feltz-Cornelis, Trimbos Institute

Portugal: Prof. Dr. Ricardo Gusmao, Clinica Universitaria de Psiquiatria e Saude Mental, Faculdade de Ciencias Medicas de Lisboa
